As I have an old version of this and it's been very useful/excellent, I have bought many of this product recently. However, ALL OF THEM do not work properly. They heat up for a while but they stop heating at all. I don't recommend purchasing this product. You'd better buying a heat pad with another make.

I found this heatpad to be very beneficial in treating aching muscles, especially my back and shoulders.
Unlike the previous reviewer I find the hottest setting very warm and usually use it on the middle setting once it has warmed up. There are two sides to the pad and the one with the wires gets much hotter than the padded side (it doesn't specify which way up to use the pad though). Rating: - One star is too generous for this pad
The "hottest" setting is laughable. You barely feel any heat whatsoever, and that's not an exaggeration. I've been thoroughly had by this pad.
